Pro indeed :) Thanks anyways though! And to be honest, the overheating only happens when using Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Office applications at the same time. Maybe I'm just overdoing it?

A good surface does help when your really pushing your computer to the limit.
But I thought that the new macbook didn't have the heat problem. Because the aluminium cover helps cool the computer down. My ex didn't have any problems, but she only used photoshop and sketchup. She doesn't really push it to the limit, I gues.
But mine starts complaining when I'm using skype video or youtube, together with graphics programs, then it gets to hot..
But you should never let your computer get to hot, because cooling down is harder then prefenting it from getting hot. So whenever you wanna use the graphics accelarator in overdrive, put it on a solid surface and boost your fan, and then you won't have problems for houres!
Or buy a macbookPRO :p

Thanks for smsfancontrol. Although this helps to boost the fans, it doesn't really help with the unasked intense ventilating. I guess I'll just have to make sure I put it on a good surface which allows for heat absorption.

I am a mac user aswell. Big fan. But it's true, it ain't heaven.
Keeping in mind that it is still a computer. It's never perfect.

The problems with the fan and temperature is a software problem. It can be fixed, that's what they told me last week. I'll let you know when I bring my computer in for check up.
Till then use smcFanCONTROL. This program tells you what your current temperature is and you can manually boost your fan.

Besides the heat problem and the weak plastic cover of my first generation macbook, I am really satisfied.

Ps. I don't use a virusprogram, don't need it, advantage of having a mac...
