Victor is an artist I bumped into on Virb when subscribing to a group he started there a long while ago. He makes beautiful drawery things and his photography is always fun to watch. Here some drawings he did recently and which I love for the thematic approach.
I just spent a week skiing in beautiful Austria. Third time there and every time I’m impressed by the Illwerke – a huge construction of dams, lakes and connecting tunnels which produce electricity for a large part of Europe. The massiveness of it all is underlined by their beautiful logo (which most of my travel partners thought to be rather boring). Here some pictures courtesy of Wikimedia Commons. Next time I’ll try take some myself.
Sophie Toulouse has been around for a while. She is an artist who doesn’t seem to be bothered with the commercial aspect of her work in the first place. Although she’s worked for some major clients as Nike, her work can be found in art galleries and her own project called Nation Of Angela – a creative dream which I still can’t fully grasp the purpose of but intrigues me to the bone. There are few (if none) artists who inspire me this much and make me want to go create. Her art is the only one of its kind which seems to reach perfection. Here is some of her older work which is more accessible seeing her newer work tends to be a lot more abstract.
